  报告内容:In recent years the SPH model, due to its meshless and Lagrangian nature, has been successfully applied to solve various problems in different hydrodynamic context such as Hydraulic, Naval, Ocean, Mechanical Engineering fields. This presentation aims to give a short introduction to some of the numerical issues of the SPH and then it focuses on its applications to the Coastal Engineering field. Specifically, throughout the presentation the following aspects will be discussed:
1)Introduction to the adopted model. The delta-SPH formulation, that is nowadays a popular SPH variant, is briefly introduced. The equation for the global conservation of energy is presented with its decomposition into single energy components.
2)Filtering of the acoustic component. Weakly-compressible SPH models presents perturbations in the pressure field that needs to be filtered in a suitable way to make the pressure results useable for engineering applications. These perturbations are here analyzed through the use of the wavelet transform and it is then shown how and when the filtering can be successfully applied.
3)Numerical applications. A first analyzed problem regards the wave forces induced by a solitary wave interacting with a horizontal submerged cylinder. Then an energy balance analysis, for waves interacting with a curtain breakwater, is presented.   

  报告人简介Dr. Domenico Davide Meringolo was born in Italy in 1986. He graduated with honours in Environmental Engineering at University of Calabria, Italy. Between 2012 and 2016 he obtained the PhD in Hydraulic Engineering for Environment and Territory at University of Calabria. During the PhD, he specialized on the numerical modeling of fluid-structure interaction problems using the SPH method. He has been an invited student at Engineering System International group, in Delft (Netherland) and at the Research Center INSEAN-CNR, in Rome (Italy). Since September 2016 he is a post-doctoral fellow at Ocean University of China, Qingdao, in which he develops researches in Coastal Engineering field.
